18 March 2017

Saturday of the 2nd week of Lent, 18 March

From today’s first reading:

“With shepherd’s crook, O Lord, lead your people to pasture, the flock that is your heritage, living confined in a forest with meadow land all around.”

Micah 7:14

Over the weeks of Lent, we are introducing you to a number of the refugee friends JRS accompanies. We invite you to walk with them, as we belong to the same flock.

Mourad’s Story – Part 7

As so many of our refugee friends are, Mourad is awaiting a decision from the Home Office on his application to be recognised as a refugee.

“I don’t have any idea for the future. Because my situation I don’t know what is happening tomorrow.”

Support FCJ Sisters #Walk1000Miles

We are always amazed and inspired by our supporters and the lengths they will go to raise money for JRS. FCJ Sisters Lynne and MaryAnne have set themselves the target to raise £1000 to walk 1000 miles during 2017.

“Companionship involves walking alongside others throughout their lives!” Sr Lynne and Sr MaryAnne

Can you help boost their fundraising as part of your Lenten Almsgiving?
