Pray with refugees friends
JRS UK has a range of resources for reflection and prayer, including poems, liturgies and guidance on how to use them in your community or organisation. Follow our daily prayer, helping bring the experience of refugees into your thoughts and reflection, as well as resources for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees, Lent and Advent.
Donate
JRS UK provides vital practical and pastoral support to over 300 refugees and asylum seekers across Greater London, alongside outreach and support to people held in immigration detention. Every donation helps make this support possible.
Campaign to Defend Asylum
As Christians, we’re standing together this summer – through prayer, public witness, and advocacy – to defend the right to asylum. With increasingly hostile policies and rhetoric undermining the ability of refugees to rebuild their lives, urgent action is needed now.
Donate physical items
JRS UK provides essential items such as toiletries, food and clothes to refugee friends at the JRS shop. Why not donate some of these much-needed items?
Take part in a challenge event!
Want to accompany, serve, and advocate with and for refugees and forcibly displaced people? By taking on a challenge such as the London Marathon, Half Marathon or a 10k, you can raise money for people seeking safety in the UK.
Volunteer with us
JRS UK volunteers are integral to our work. Without our team of dedicated volunteers, we simply could not help those seeking asylum.
Resources for schools
These resources introduce how the Catholic Church approaches refugees and migrants in its social teaching, lived experiences of people around the world and in the UK, with suggestions for what schools can do if they’d like to get more involved.
Give As You Live
You can help raise money for JRS anytime you shop on-line through Give As You Live. Over 3,000 on-line retailers will give a donation to us as a charity every time you make a purchase. This income provides resources for setting up smaller projects that we cannot get grants for.
Host a refugee friend
One of the greatest challenges faced by the refugees accompanied by JRS UK, is the lack of accommodation. The JRS At Home programme organises short-term accommodation with individuals, parishes and religious communities for refugees who would otherwise be homeless.
