Intercessions on Destitution

We pray for all of our refugee friends for whom the pandemic adds even more uncertainty and difficulty to their lives. May they feel your presence close to them.

We pray for our refugee friends. We ask that they may be given the strength they need to go on.

We pray for our refugee friends at this time of increased isolation and uncertainty; may they know your friendship.

We pray for all our refugee friends. We pray that they may feel your loving consolation amidst the increased pressure on their already uncertain lives.

We pray in thanksgiving for the joy of our refugee friends. We ask that they may bring light to others through their humour and good spirits.

We pray in thanksgiving for the culture and creativity of our refugee friends. We thank you for all that we have learned from them.

We pray in thanksgiving for the generosity and care that our refugee friends model for us. May they receive the same from others.

We pray for all our refugee friends at this time of social distancing and increased isolation. May they feel your presence close to them.

We pray for all our refugee friends during this uncertain time of coronavirus. We ask that they may receive the support they need.

We pray for all those who have lost hope. We ask they may feel your presence close to them and be consoled.

We pray for all our refugee friends who are feeling isolated and alone. We ask that they may find ways to find friendship and community at this time when we are physically separated.

We pray for our refugee friends who are separated from their families and loved ones. We ask that they may remain connected through their love for one another.

We pray for our refugee friends who and all those whose struggles increase in lockdown. May all receive the support and friendship they need during these next few weeks.

We pray for all those who are not in work, especially our refugee friends who are barred from working. We ask that all my find dignity through work.
