JRS UK is pleased to be supporting the Unlocking Detention campaign which this week highlights the situation for detained asylum seekers in Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centre. Unlocking Detention provides a virtual tour of the UK’s detention centres which are often, as stated, on their website, “Out of sight, Out of mind?” Frequently, people have no experience of the conditions for those detained and in light of some of the representations and mis-representations in the media, it is crucially important to highlight the tweets, photos, blog posts and other interactive material on their website.
