Director of JRS UK, Louise Zanre, shares her witness of the journey that many refugees make to get to the UK. She reflects on the last couple of months were media reports have focused on refugees and forced migrants on the long journey to and across Europe. She shows why she has been so touched at the outpouring of kindness and offers of help – and why we need to continue supporting those who have already made it to this country.
The newsletter includes stories of accomplishment and achievement written by men and women who come to JRS, including the celebration of graduating from college, learning to ride a bike for the first time, volunteering as a chef and taking part in an advocacy research project.
