Have you thought about Hosting a Refugee?
Caritas Westminster has teamed up with JRS and others to provide a Diocesan Community of Support for those who would like to host a refugee in their home
We are holding an information session for anyone who is considering the possibility of hosting or would like to explore further ways of providing support to those who are seeking sanctuary.
What
In this session you will:
- Be introduced to the Community of Support
- Meet others who are on the hosting journey or are interested in what support of people seeking sanctuary could look like.
- Learn about best practice with regards to hosting.
- Learn more about the current ‘Homes for Ukraine’ context.
- Discern further ways of welcoming and responding.
- Share experiences and ask questions.
This session is a part of the wider Diocesan Community of Support. It has been set up in response to the government’s Homes for Ukraine Scheme, the Afghan Refugee Response, and the wider situation of asylum seekers and refugees in the Diocese of Westminster.
