Fr Gerard Gallen SJ says: “Some of us cycle a lot, some of us cycle a little… we enjoy biking around the cities we have lived in and in London where we live now. We got talking about what we as Jesuits, colleagues, family and friends could do for the refugees who come to JRS. It’s a long ride of 54 miles and we will be a bit sore the next day, but we will have a good day together!
We want to raise money for Jesuit Refugee Service because JRS is our local, Jesuit charity and they help refugees who are some of the most in need in our society.”
Please pray for them and for us as we set out, and make your donation to JRS’s Hardship Fund. For example, £5.40 would pay for a bus pass for someone to attend their Day Centre and have a hot meal or £54 would help a family in urgent need with food or baby clothes.
