Join us for the latest in our Accompaniment in Action series, in which we will take a look back at a year of operations for our Emergency Response Team. With the first lockdown in March 2020, JRS UK was forced to take our Day Centre on the road, making deliveries to our refugee friends wherever they were spending lockdown. The team have been working hard ever since to ensure we support our friends whilst the pandemic prevents the reopening of the Day Centre.
Join us on Wednesday 28th April between 18:30 – 19:30 for ‘A Year on the Road’
We will be joined by some of the staff, volunteers and refugee friends to share the amazing work that has been going on to continue our mission to accompany through the most difficult of years. We will discuss the rapid adaptation of our usual services to be able to go on the road, what help our refugee friends have been getting from JRS and the impact it has had on them. We are also excited to share with you an insight into what our ERT volunteer delivery drivers do on their trips around London as we join a pair of them out on the road.
There will also be time for your questions and information on how you can get involved with our mission to accompany, serve and advocate for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced people.
We are looking forward to giving you a behind the scenes look at one of the main ways we have been accompanying our refugee friends during the past year.
