Join us for our latest Accompaniment in Action event which will focus on the barriers our refugee friends encounter when attempting to access healthcare and some of the work that JRS UK have done to support people during the pandemic. Sarah Teather, our Director, will be joined by Sophie Cartwright, our Policy Officer, and some of those we have worked closely with to help support our friends to access healthcare.
Join us online on Wednesday 24th March between 18:30 – 19:30
The discussion will take in some of the background context to the barriers preventing our refugee friends from accessing healthcare, something which has been a deliberate part of the hostile environment agenda. We will consider the experiences of our refugee friends during the COVID pandemic and how JRS UK have supported our friends and encouraged them to take up vaccines. There will be the opportunity to ask questions of the panel at the end of the evening.
This is an incredibly important issue and one which we hope to give you an insight into the difficulties refugees face during these tough times.
