Sarah Teather, Director of Jesuit Refugee Service, is presenting Prayer for the Day on BBC Radio 4 throughout Refugee Week. This is Radio 4’s daily prayer and reflection slot, whose presenters represent a wide range of faith backgrounds and are often ordained ministers.
There are six reflections in total, beginning on Saturday 15th June, and then each day Monday to Friday 17th – 21st June. Each reflection is themed around refugee week, and Sarah draws on her experiences and encounters with refugees from JRS projects in the UK, Lebanon, and South Sudan.
It’s a wonderful way to start your morning, as it’s broadcast at 5:43 am on BBC Radio 4. But if you’re not such an early riser, the prayerful reflections will be available on listen again shortly after broadcast.
