Prayer for World Day of Migrants and Refugees 2020
Join JRS in praying for those who are forcibly displaced.
Lord Jesus,
May we seek to know more about the lived experience of those who are displaced in order to understand them better.
May we be willing to draw close to our neighbour in order to serve as we are able.
May we listen attentively in order to be reconciled with those who are suffering.
May we learn to share what we have with those in need that we may grow together, leaving no one behind.
May we involve refugees in projects that seek to assist and promote them, recognising their dignity and worth.
May we be cooperate widely in order to build a society which welcomes and cares for all.
In all that we do, may we see you in the face of those who are displaced, remembering that they share in the suffering you too experienced in the flight to Egypt.
