In this edition of Together, we bring you inspiring stories of resilience, solidarity, and hope from the heart of JRS UK’s mission.
This year, as the Catholic Church celebrates the Jubilee Year with the theme Pilgrims of Hope, we are called to renew our trust in a better future and to stand with those on the margins, especially people seeking sanctuary.
Amid ongoing challenges – including restrictive asylum policies in the UK and humanitarian crises worldwide – hope is more vital than ever.
In this issue, we highlight the voices of those who embody this hope: Martin shares his reflections on accompanying Farrokh, Zein finds solace in drama workshops in detention, and refugee friends come together through our new sewing initiative. We also hear from young adults fundraising for JRS UK, demonstrating how solidarity takes many forms.
Together, we can be signs of hope, advocating for justice and walking alongside those seeking safety and dignity. Thank you for being part of this journey.
