#Do1Thing

Today we invite you to read Feeling alive but dead inside, a blog written by a member of Refugees Call for Change. The blog focuses on a refugee friend’s experience of waiting in limbo. She talk about the feelings of isolation she has experienced in the UK, what she would like to tell the prime minister, and her hopes for the future.

Refugees Call for Change is one of the regular refugee-led activities that run to complement JRS UK’s Day Centre. The group offers an open space for refugee friends of JRS UK to gather and discuss openly the problems and experiences they are facing within the UK’s asylum system.

One of the group’s main aims is for their voices to be heard so that others can have an idea about what life is like as an asylum seeker in the UK.
