Have mercy on us, O Lord, for we have sinned.

Happy the one who has placed their trust in the Lord.

A humbled, contrite heart, O God, you will not spurn.

Show me, Lord, your way so that I may walk in your truth.

Have mercy on us, O Lord, for we have sinned.

Your words are spirit, Lord, and they are life.

The Lord rescues the just in all their distress.

Happy the one who has placed their trust in the Lord.

On the day I called, you answered me, O Lord.

If you, O Lord, should mark our guilt, Lord, who would survive? For with you is found forgiveness.

They are happy who follow God’s law!

May your love be upon us, O Lord, as we place all our hope in you.

Do not treat us according to our sins, O Lord.

I will show God’s salvation to the upright.

Save me in your love, O Lord.

Happy the one who has placed their trust in the Lord.

Remember the wonders the Lord has done.

The Lord is compassion and love.

O that today you would listen to his voice! ‘Harden not your hearts.’

My soul is thirsting for God, the God of my life: when can I enter and see the face of God?

Remember your mercy, Lord.

O praise the Lord, Jerusalem!

O that today you would listen to his voice! ‘Harden not your hearts.’

Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News.

What I want is love, not sacrifice.

The Lord is my shepherd: there is nothing I shall want.

His dynasty shall last for ever.

The Lord of hosts is with us: the God of Jacob is our stronghold.

The Lord is kind and full of compassion.

O Lord, remember me out of the love you have for your people.

The Lord is close to the broken-hearted.

Here I am, Lord! I come to do your will.

With the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption.

If I should walk in the valley of darkness, no evil would I fear.

O Lord, listen to my prayer and let my cry for help reach you.

To you glory and praise for evermore.

The Lord remembers his covenant for ever.

In my anguish I called to the Lord, and he heard my voice.

The Lord will guard us as a shepherd guards his flock.

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

The Lord is my light and my help.

My lips will tell of your help.

In your great love, O Lord, answer my prayers for your favour.

The blessing-cup that we bless is a communion with the blood of Christ.

Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.

Send forth your spirit, O Lord, and renew the face of the earth.

This day was made by the Lord: we rejoice and are glad.

Prayer events

Praying the Stations of the Cross is a traditional way of praying during Lent. We pray this familiar prayer to be with Jesus Christ who walked this journey, carrying the cross, the instrument of his death, out of love and commitment to us.

We would be delighted if you could join us to pray the Stations of the Cross this Lent. Do also let us know if you are holding your own prayer events!
