Cathedral City

[ ]

The lockdown has been difficult while living in Birmingham. Walking through the city centre, lots of new modern buildings begin to dominate the skyline. It’s a city in transition, a city constantly going forward. The pandemic has made it tough to find a place of peace and tranquility amongst all the modernism.

But the Cathedral of St. Chad in the heart of the city, has been a great escape for me over this last year. Supporting the parish and devoting a few hours a week, surrounded by the beauty of its gothic architecture by Augustus Pugin. Highlighting how important these civic places of worship are.
